Data Architect

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data and analytics practice to introduce data and analytics solutions and services.
• Data Strategy: Develop and implement a data strategy aligning with organizational goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and devise feasible solutions.
• Data Modelling: Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Define data standards, ensure data quality, and integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure.
• Database Management: Oversee database management systems to ensure they function reliably. Optimize database performance and conduct regular system tests and validations.
• ETL Processes: Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficiently moving data across systems. Ensure the ETL processes are robust and scalable and maintain data integrity.
• Data Security: Implement data security and privacy measures. Develop and enforce data standards and guidelines to prevent unauthorized access or data breaches.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and analysts, to integrate data-related solutions into products and services.
• Documentation: Document data architecture, including data models, data flow diagrams, data definitions, and metadata. Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and suggest new tools and techniques to improve data management and analysis.
• Managing data storage and processing using Cloudera's platform
• Overseeing the configuration and management of Splunk for log analysis
• Proficiency in SQL Server for database management
• Familiarity with Teradata, Cloudera, or other data warehousing solutions
• Oversee the collection, storage, and management of data from various sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security.

• Strong leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
