Job Description
- Assist in the design, build, and management of Linux environments, including installation, configuration, and optimization of systems and services.
- Support the development and implementation of processes for containerization, orchestration, virtualization, automation, and monitoring of systems and services.
- Help ensure the availability, performance, and security of systems and services through effective monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Assist in managing and maintaining databases, including installation, configuration, and optimization of database software and systems.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routers.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and processes under supervision.
- Provide support to senior team members and follow their technical guidance.
- Review procedures followed by users to determine if specified steps were taken.
- Explain user procedures necessary to transmit data.
- Read technical reference manuals for communications hardware and software to learn the cause of problems.
- Update documentation to record new equipment installed, new sites, and changes to computer configurations.

Technical Skills
Basic experience in infrastructure, containerization, orchestration, virtualization, automation, monitoring, scripting, network, and database management.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Basic understanding of containerization orchestration such as Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift.
Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM.
Knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs.
Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Basic experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
Basic scripting skills in one or more languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
