Job Description
Assist in developing educational programs to ensure the delivery of digital fabrication knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with Education practices and digital fabrication technology and its practical applications on different fields.
- Work with the Education Program Manager to develop the different levels of training courses.
- Assist in developing the teaching manuals for each course delivered.
- Follow up on internships programs implementation and monitor the interns’ progress.
- Report progress of interns to Education Program Manager with recommendations of program improvement.
- Study and assist in developing technical analogies from a science communication approach
- Monitor the delivery of the Fellowship Program (300 track).
- Guide the digital fabrication specialist in the delivering of courses and programs.
- Support in training personnel on teaching pedagogies, science communication, design thinking and technical topics, and others.
- Follow the implementation of the development plans of the instructors and report periodically on the progress.
- Develop with the Education Program Manager an exchange of knowledge in designing physical aids for knowledge delivery in training programs.
- Collect feedback regarding the workshops and programs delivered and submit a report with the recommendations to the program managers to consider enhancement of the content and the delivery.
- Work with the Digital Fabrication Specialist on developing competitions for community engagements on the technical levels.
- Support in representing GSEF Education department in conferences, workshops and meetings.
- Deliver technical digital fabrication awareness presentation.
- Record lessons learnt from programs implementations.
- Work with the Education Program Manager on improving content and delivery mechanisms.
- Assist in the Development of Research papers to be published.
Personal Skills
- Experience in Content development is preferable.
- Minimum 1 year of Teaching experience is preferable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Excellent R&D and Documentation skills.
- Excellent command of English.
Technical Skills
• Experience in Programming and Electronics is preferable
• TOT certificate is a plus.
• Must be technology savvy and interested in the latest technology trends.
• Knowledge of Digital Fabrication Tools is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
