Job Description
Facilitate the operation and frequent services of the FabLab; which includes operation of machines, handling users, and scheduling of equipment use.
Responsibilities:
Research and development:
- Conduct research and develop new ideas and solutions for agreed upon challenges and create prototypes and products.
Operation:
- Assist FabLab members in preparation of materials and machine operation.
- Assist in preparations of logistics of frequent events.
- Assist Fab lab team in machine maintenance and operation
Workshops and delivery of tracks:
- Assist in delivering training tracks and curriculum developed by the education team.
- Assist in preparing the logistics of the training programs; registration, payments, supplies, components & kits as needed.
Handling users and Technical support:
- Assist visitors in designing and producing their requests
- Provide technical support to users with their projects
- Perform other duties as assigned according to business needs.
Personal Skills
- Eagerness to learn, explore and develop
- Passionate about research Development
- Very good command of English
- Excellent knowledge of MS office
- Excellent organizational skills
- Very Good communication skills
- Good relationship building and Good team player.
Technical Skills
Knowledge in one or more of the following is an advantage:
• Experience in CAD software.
• Experience in programming languages
• Experience in Embedded systems
• Experience in laser cutting, 3D printer and CNC machines.
• Excellent and passionate about research and development solutions
• Excellent in Microsoft programs use
• Related experience to digital fabrication(laser cutting, 3d printing, 2D and 3D Design)
Education
Bachelors Degree in any discipline
