Fab Lab Specialist

Role Overview

Facilitate and coordinate the different activities within the lab.

Areas of Responsibility

• Build training schedules fitting community needs in coordination with the Maker Space Development Manager and Fab Lab Operations Lead.

• Announce schedules in all agreed upon channels to ensure maximum outreach.

• Coordinate the logistics of the training programs including registration, payments, supplies, components & kits.

• Collect and consolidate a report on the success of each training activity.

• Document all training materials and make available when needed for reference.

• Print training/track certificates and handover to Maker Diploma candidates after the successful attendance.

• Analyze feedback from training's and development programs and report recommendations to Maker space program.

• Maintain a clean and well organized working environment.

• Comply with all health and safety measure as per GS corporate standards.

• Manage lab assets, maintenance plans, spare parts and monitor safety stock of consumables

• Help managing software installations needed for lab equipment and workshops.

• Generate financial reports as requested by the management.

• Coordinate all admin activities related to the lab.

• Operate and ensure the proper use of machines.

• Work with the Fablab coordinator to support the online presence and the social media pages for the Fablab to create a maximum outreach.

• Market the Fablab activities within the community.

• Record volunteers attendance.

• Review volunteers performance and decide accordingly.

• Excellent command of Arabic and English

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Fast learner with the ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment

• Excellent in engaging with others.

• Strongly organized and creative

Bachelor Degree in Engineering with any major.
